Tania worked as a cardiac intensive care nursing sister, before moving into the field of diabetes as a diabetes nurse educator. Having passed her CDE course with distinction, she attended many courses and workshops in the field of diabetes.
She teaches patients about their condition, and assists them in all aspects of their treatment. She has a special interest in insulin pump therapy, and is always available to assist her pump patients, whether they are starting out, or merely needing adjustments to their settings.
Tania is currently completing her masters degree in diabetes, and thus contributes significantly to the academic side of the centre.
